FDA Approves APP Pharmaceuticals’ Generic Imitrex
Oct 19th, 2009 at 9:22pm

The FDA has approved APP Pharmaceuticals’ generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Imitrex injectable drug in two dosage strengths to treat migraine and cluster headaches. APP will package sumatriptan succinate in prefilled syringes of 4 mg/0.5 mL and 6 mg/0.5 mL, the company says in a statement. The injectable sumatriptan succinate treats migraine attacks, with or without aura, and cluster headache episodes.

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Man, wouldn't it be sweet if they made 2mg injections.
That's all I use and I get 6 shots per refill using the Imitrex Tip on this site.  It also should help with reducing rebound headaches due to not dosing to the max 4 or 6mg.

A difference in availability and amount could result with today's heavy lean toward generic costs by insurance companies

Don't know the tabs are any indication but a Canadian drug site has 100mg tabs, 12 ea., at$175 for Initrex, $102 for generic.

Add to this that GSK had to lower its price by a third since the patent expired. So now, in Switzerland you can get Sumatriptan injections at 47% from what it was 2 years ago.

Kick out the pharma lobbyists and you might get a similar deal. Wink
