proposed $5.00 per head for range cattle and $15.00 per head on dairy cows.

Marc

Show me that proposal.  Last I saw was eighty five bucks a head.

Don't have it anymore - the link to the proposed bill came from a rancher friend who runs cattle, he may still have it. I'll ask.

Your number is probably the new reality in order to raise more tax money to cover the spending.

OK! I admit it! I did it! it was hairspray in the 70's from aerosol cans...tons of em............
and now, we have holes in the ozone.so we have some overheating, some overcooling......my feet are cold cas I type, I guess that's because it's 65 in the house and we haven't turned our furnace on yet..........and, of course, my destruction of the ozone in my teens.I think I'm gonna go put some boofies on my feet and.....and.......try to atone for me sins........
OHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spare the Hairspray, save the planet!

I remember global cooling caused by pollution being all the rage in the 70's.

If one might look again at all peer-reviewed journals of climate change '65-'79, less than 15% predicted global cooling, warming got the nod, but as with most sensationalism, it made the better story, got the press.  Things haven't changed much.

Poor horse.

Didn't anyone tell him not to go kissing things in cold weather. Now he's got his lips stuck.

Either way, it's a potential source of income for politicians. Look at the personal fortunes being made in the carbon credit racket. The current Cap and Trade bill will make the same folks billionaires using the same "offset" mechanism.

Money aside, I think cap and trade makes little sense too.

It also makes little sense to point to cold winters and your outside temperature as examples that global warming is a fraud. It's not what it's about.

You're right, Charlie. That's not what it's about. It's about using hand-selected data to support a theory. In other words, junk science.

Yes. Exactly what the handpicked "scientists" your side uses to defute any possibility of concern that the vast majority of the scientific community agrees that it's something we are going to have to deal with.

Again...critcal thinking....unless you just can't stand not letting energy lobbyists guide your thinking so that  anti-intellectual party fringes are your choice for information and deserving your support.

Denial of the possibility allows one to not have to deal with something not very comfortable.

Nah. I just go by a total lack of unbiased evidence. That's where my critical thinking has led me.

There is nothing about global warming or climate change or whatever it's called that isn't politically motivated. And there's one thing I can say about anything that's politically motivated:

It's crap.

Scientist's predictions are just that. Science is no more an exact thing than is Medicine.

I say "just say no to snow".  Cheesy One thing for sure is it's not political.
