To early for alchohol...!
Apr 1st, 2009 at 7:01pm

I'm currently in the 7th week of my cycle and I'm experiencing very minor shadows and some days nothing at all. I have not had a drink of any description during this period, I even had to spend St.Patrick's day stone cold sober and my family thought i had set up a daddy day care as i had every niece and nephew dropped off that evening.

It is my partners 30th birthday this weekend and her friends and work colleagues  have organised a surprise birthday party for her. In your experiences do you think that by having a drink it would set me off on a hit and maybe prolong my cycle. Alcohol is definitely a trigger for me...!

A very dry Lefty....! Tongue

I wouldn't risk it.  Alcohol is a big trigger for me, along with cigarette smoke.  If I were you, I would stay sober.

It won't prolong a cycle for me....but if I'm still getting shadows and drink a beer, I'll get slammed! Not worth it for me.

Personally I wouldn't try it.  For me it doesn't prolong anything but within half hour I'm crawling the walls.

If it's a known trigger for you, I'd steer clear of it, personally.

I'm not much of a drinker at any time, but I won't touch the stuff during a cycle.

Edit to add:  It doesn't prolong a cycle for me, but it will inevitably provoke a very nasty individual hit.

Best,

George

Thanks folks

I enjoy my pain free days a lot more than a couple of beers...!
