What gives? ?
Mar 12th, 2009 at 11:32am

The weather's been crazy here!  It's 25○  right now.  Tuesday it was 78○.   It's been going back and forth for a while.

I'm noticing that when we have a few nice days in a row, I am shadowing lots.  When it turns cold again I feel fine.   When I look back it seems that the earlier the weather turns nice, the sooner and longer my cycles are.

Even after 28 years I'm still trying to figure this all out. Undecided

PF wishes,

Jeannie

Darlin, I have had this for 30 years, now.  I guess my longer experience has allowed me to figure it out.   Wink

Let me explain it for you:  As SOON as you think you have it worked out, and know what to expect, the beast morphs on you ... JUST to mess with your head.  It is the nature of the beast.

It is almost like having a toddler, running wild, in your head, with an icepick, for 28 or 30 or whatever years!

Hang in there, girl, YOU can make it through this!

Chuck

Jeannie, even though I finished my cycle 2 weeks ago (almost), the weather patterns are still affecting me and I too shadow heavily.

It sucks!

Jeannie,  I hear you!  The crazy weather is messing with my head too.  I didn't realize, until I read your post, that my shadows occurred on the warmer days.  Hmmmmmmm.....I don't even try to figure out cycles anymore, mine always are morphing.

Hurry up spring.......Stay away beast!!!!

It sucks to look forward to and DREAD the warm weather all at the same time!

Sometimes I think I imagine it.  It's nice to know I'm not crazy!   Thanks for letting me know that it happens to you guys as well.  I'm sorry it does though! Smiley

I understand the dread, however, being chronic means I always have to have my tools (oxygen and imitrex) at the ready.  The knowledge that I'm prepared with the tools offsets the dread for me.  Pehaps it could help you too.

Wishing you well,

Ray

Has anyone ever noticed being extremely tired and cold all the time in the days before a cycle starts?

I know that Joe has a very small comfort-temperature range when he's in cycle. seriously, like 5-8 degrees either way.

When it's me it gets blamed on PMS, being a woman in my late 40's etc. But for him, just CH!

I'm tired all the time. Cycle, no cycle, whatever. Tired, yes.

My late husband"s CH was always worse when there was stormy weather and when it was hot. Cold dry days were better for him.

Watch the barometer... I started doing this and when it's rising my head morphs up big time. When it's falling - I do really well. Above 30, I get hit - below I have a nice day.

I HATE this time of year.  We had spring last week and now it's winter again - supposed to have spring starting again Tuesday... It's been raining since last Wednesday and below freezing every night... Next week it's going to be in the 80s -- I feel like someone is standing at the backdoor with a sledge-hammer.... Oh well - such is the life of a CHer.... Smiley Smiley

Hugs BD
