Dutch cluster research
Feb 3rd, 2009 at 11:17am

Hello dear American (and other) friends. Haven't posted a lot lately coz I've been feeling like crap for what seems an eternity, though it is getting better since yesterday. Keeping my hopes up!

As a longtime clusterheadache-sufferer (since I was 17 or 18) I was asked to participate in a large survey concerning CH, which is a collaboration between my own hospital here in Heerlen and the LUMC in Leiden, under the supervision of Dr. Koehler in my city and in Leiden by Dr. Ferrari, whom are both experts in CH.

It was a questionaire of 68 questions, on oxygen usage, which treatments you've had in the past, what works, what doesn't, if you use heat or cold to get through a hit, how your CH manifests itself in pain, duration etc.

Off course I made sure to mention that here, in the NL, the lpm should be higher (prescribed up to 12 lpm), for I have learned that here.

As soon as the results are known, I will make sure to post on it here.

I hope everyone has been as much painfree as possible.

Greetings from the Netherlands, Pascal.

Hi Pascal,I'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

It's always nice to hear that one of us is suffering less.

I also look forward to your results. Walk in Peace

Dag Pascal!

I used to see Dr. Ferrari in Leiden.  I thought he was an excellent Doctor.  I look forward to hearing the results!

Awesome Pascal!  I noticed today when I was researching some info that there has been a fair bit of activity with CH studies over in your part of the world.

It's awesome that there is still lots of research going on Smiley

Thanks for the welcome back, Joe, that actually brought a smile to my face lol.

Hallo daar Ray! I've never met the good dr. Ferrari in person, as he works in the west part and I am a southerner, but I do know that he is supposed to be THE leading researcher on CH in this little country.
Heard nothing but great stuff about him. We need people like him more and more.

PF vibes to all.

Pascal.
