Don't let it suck you in...
Jan 29th, 2009 at 8:26am

If you do, then it wins.

It is easy to get caught up in the fear and anxiety of the next one coming.  Remember that the pain will eventually end.  It may seem like forever, but it WILL end.  Live your life inbetween the hits.  There IS good in life if you go outside of yourself and your own little world to see it.  And last but not least, when you see others with a charmed life living their lives pain free, don't wonder "why not them?".  It does nothing for you and only serves to feed that self depreciating monster.

You will make it through.  You are one of the strongest people who have been given an affliction so many would not be able to deal with.

hugs & love,
melissa

That was me before I learned how to manage them better. I was constantly in fear of the next big hit.

Good advice.

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.

Not really Joe, just trying to take my own advice, LOL!!

I figured some self help therapy might help others too, so I posted it. Smiley

Great reminder, Mel! Smiley

This time around - so far at least - I've been able to remember that. Let's hope it stays that way, too. but I do think that the 800mg guarana tablets I'm taking twice a day have made a difference for the better. Smiley

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there
