Eyeball squish
Oct 25th, 2008 at 7:11pm

Greetings to all. I'm a longtime lurker, first time poster. I don't know if this has come up here before, so forgive me ... but:

Has anyone else noticed that if you rub your eye during a cluster (on the side where your headaches are), that you can hear a "squishing" sound that appears to come from inside your head?

I cannot produce this sound on the other side, and it never happens when I am out of a cluster. I don't know that it's significant, just peculiar.

PF wishes!

Keith

Stop doing that.   It makes you see things in a different perspective....like blurry.    Nope I have never had that happen.

So......you been a long-time lurker eh?   Why?  join in here we don't bite at all.  Honest.

I'd never noticed it until you brought up the subject, Keith, and now it's driving me troppo!

Apologies accepted only when accompanied by beer.

Jonny posted this on here (after years of keeping it a "secret") that he puts Visine (sp) in his Cluster eye during an attack and it helps some. Well, if it's good enough for our Jonny, thought I'd try it and darned if it doesn't seem to help some. Might try that instead of your finger.

Never heard the squishing thingy. But "my thing" is pulling my hair.

Not "squishy" but a "popping" sounds.  LOL, hard to explain.  It usually starts at the end of a hit.  Right behind my cluster eye.  I always thought of it as the noise of my brain cooking.

Best Luck toya.

I've noticed this too. It's like theres a whoopie cushion behind the eyeball and rubbing it makes it fart.  My wife hates it, it gives her the willies.  Roll Eyes

Don't know about the "squishing" noise, but the popping thing is pretty familiar.

I always figured it might help if I could somehow get BEHIND the eyeball and fiddle around, but I've never thought of a way to do that that wouldn't be remarkably gruesome.

Tongue

Best,

George
