Title: D3 - flushed face/red nose
Post by Joshua on Mar 9th, 2016 at 7:13am
I've seen some posts on the board about flushing, some posts about Niacin, etc.

I started high dose D3 for a few days to get the levels up, which seems to be working, but my cheeks, and my nose are pretty red.

Anyone else experience this?  If so, any remedies (other than lowering the dose?)

Could it be because you're able to have a few drinks now that you're on the D3 regimen?!!!

;) :D ;D

Best to lower the dosage of vitamin D to see if that's what's causing it! To 10000iu/day or even 5000iu/day which is what I take to keep the beast at bay.

I've never heard of flushing caused by Vitamin D, but maybe it affects you that way. Have you experienced flushing with your headaches before this? I ask because  forehead and facial sweating is one of the criteria for the diagnosing of CH. I usually experience flushing with my attacks. Even now when the D3 regimen is doing its job, I will sometimes get flushed with only the hint of a headache. The D3 may only help the CH pain, and not the other autonomic issues.

Hi All

New to the site.
What the D3 treatment option?

Hey Derik,

Check your PM InBox...  I've sent you some info on the anti-inflammatory regimen with 10,000 IU/day vitamin D3 and co-factors that helps prevent CH.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

:) if I drank, I surely would to celebrate.  I get some redness on my skin due to some dermatological thing once in a while, I read where D3 could exacerbate such a thing, but I think it's calmed down.

Still on the regimen, Day 5 no pain.

Hey joshua,

Am truly delighted to read the news that you're PF.
All the best
