Hi everyone! I am new to this board and have 2 questions. I have been having CHs for about a month and need some relief! I am a 29 year old female.

1. Can someone please explain what the D3 regime consists of? (What I would have to take and how much)
2. Do I have to see my doctor before starting the D3?

Also, I know different treatments work differently from person to person, but I would love to hear others opinion on the D3 and wether it worked or not.

Hi Ashley and welcome,
You say you have been suffering CH's for a one month,
has this been confirmed by a Headache Specialist?.
As for the Vitamin D-3 Regime, if you shoot Batch a
PM he'll guide through you this.

Thank you for your fast reply! I am currently waiting for my doctor to refer me to a neurologist (which could take a while) and the D3 seemed fairly safe so I figured I would give it a shot! Who is Batch and how do I find him?

Oh and I have not had it diagnosed but I had them 3 years ago but I wrote them off as migraines and they werent as severe and often as they are now. My dad suffered with them when he was my age as well. I have researched it and I have pretty much every single symptom except the watery eye.

I think it wise to seek out a Headache Specialist first,
as their are many headache types that mimic CH's, and
sometimes, something more serious, which you won't
know until you have Xrays done.

I have had a Cat scan which came back normal. I will be waiting a while to see a Neurologist so in the meantime, I am willing to try anything! I am on Imitrex tablets right now but I get the headaches 2-3 times a day and can only get 9 pills a month due to insurance so I have to try something else.

With the Imitrex tablets they can take awhile to kick in,
have you tried the auto injectors? They can abort a CH
within 5mins, also check out oxygen to abort an attack
when your at home, the link is to your left on
this page. As for the Vitamin D Regime you need to
get a 25 (OH ) D blood pull to see where your Serum
concentration sits, most folk are low, and if so then
start the regiment.
