Title: D3 & cofactors timing Post by tgdurst on May 25th, 2014 at 5:16pm
Does it matter the time of day to take these? I tend to take them with breakfast. Does it need to be with he largest meal, or just higher in fat?
Thanks Todd |

Todd,
Good question... It really doesn't matter what time of day you take this regimen... but the size of the meal with the most fats you take it with can make a significant difference on vitamin D3 absorption. There are several small studies that indicate vitamin D3 absorption can be as much as 50% higher if taken with a meal high in fats in comparison to taking it on an empty tummy. By fats... I'm talking "good" fats like butter, olive oil, bacon fat, coconut oil and our good friends... the Omega-3 fatty acids... This is clearly contrary to the propaganda put out by by Big Pharma and the brainwashed physicians who want you on a low fat diet with corn oil or canola... plus statins... The dirty little secret is diets like that plus statins do not increase longevity... Lots of very large studies that have come to this conclusion... but you'll need to look for them as they don't make the news... I'll leave you with two factoids... The first is the brain is 60% fat and it needs good fats to stay healthy... not sugar or high fructose corn syrup. The second is we need cholesterol... Our bodies actually run on it and the 7-Dehydrocholesterol in our skin turns into cholecalciferol... (vitamin D3) when exposed to the UVB in sunlight... Take care, V/R, Batch |
