I personally have not heard very good things about the doctor that is promoting this surgery......

Oh it's always worth bringing stuff up, it's only with knowledge of treatments pros and cons, as well as real life input from fellow sufferers, that one can make the personal choices of medical treatment. ANY type of surgical intervention is a last hope, "shot in the dark" desperation measure. There are far more high percentage treatments available to try first. Don't ever hesitate to post new stuff you come across.
