Title: Allergies - Natural Histamine Blockers. Post by TeeJ2379 on May 5th, 2014 at 9:27am
So I'm up on my Vit D3 / Vitamin B complex and even some Vitamin C to keep my allergies and sinusitis away - however my allergies are in rare form so far this spring. Yesterday I had a horrible episode in the grocery store.
I know there has always been talk about a relationship between histamine and CH, but besides that - I am just looking for some natural alternatives to Allegra and Benedryl to combat my sneezing and tearing eyes. The episode the other day felt similar to CH except no pain. Mainly the tearing eye and running nose, and general pressure in my head. No CH thank god! Doing some research there are two compounds I've found that allege to be natural Histamine blockers. ButterBur and Manosteen. I see there was has been some casual discussion on this board regarding these in the past. However, from the general tone and timeline (2010/ 2011), it seemed that most were discussions were dismissed and most were before Batch's Vitamin D3 regiment. Seems most dismissed natural supplements in the past as snake oil and worthless, maybe that has changed now due to Batch's research and regiment. Anyone have more updated notes or feelings on these two natural supplements? Any ideas on how much I need to take before I see relief from my allergy symptoms? |
