Post by moneymaker on Nov 5th, 2012 at 5:01am
Had my cluster cycle start sept 26th and i am over Major headaches but afterwards i am now having deep ear/jaw pain about 2 times a day and get woke up once at night and my eye tears some and small temple pain,Is it that my cycle is just not over as i have been treated for sinus infection also, but i never had a cycle the last few time last longer then 4 weeks and dont recall any of this small after affect. If i hit it with 02 or a sumatriptan pill it goes away until later in the day.Driving me nuts

Patience, my friend. Not all of us are up at 5AM to respond as if this were an instant chat room. Although you'd expect some of us sufferer's to be around just looking for someone with whom to commiserate. Like you.

OK, to your question. What you describe sounds to me like a small CH. Those symptoms are present when I am experiencing shadows...same thing as a small CH. O2 takes them away. That's the good news. The bad news, your declaration to end of cycle may be somewhat premature. Shadows can wear one down, but I still thank God they aren't full blown attacks. Keep hittin' em with O2. If you're episodic these too will slow down and go away.

BTW...on an irrelevant note, try and use a period once in awhile. It would help when we read your posts! God bless. lance

Alongside Lance's good advice, I'll just add that I would keep treating the sinus issues if I were you. I've suffered from ongoing ear trouble, and I know that when my ear/sinuses act up, a CH is sure to follow. It's practically a contest on the left side of my face, with my ear and hypothalamus fighting over who gets to pull the trigger.

So to cover your bases, it would probably be a good idea to treat for both of your conditions. Or ask your neurologist what to do next.

Sounds to me that your cycle is still running.  I have had 4 week cycles 6 week 8 week each time around they are different it seems. Your still getting nightime hits all though not Major, enough to wake you up with tearing etc. Hopefully a sign that your cycle is on its way out. For sure follow through on your sinuses though relieve any head pressure you can.pfdn to all
