HELP ME PLEASE!  I am a newbie to this site and its helpful to see that there are others out there who experience this.  Sorry that there are, but I am beginning to think I am the only one on this planet who goes through this awful pain.  I've had a cluster for 3 days now and NOTHING is helping......I've tried Tylenol, Advil, sinus meds, allergy meds, and I'm ready to cry, but don't want to in fear that it will make my pain worse.  What can I do?  Where can I get this oxygen that everyone is talking about?  Can I get it today?  Now?  please help anyone.........thank you!!  Lisa 

Your doctor can prescribe it for you, but you won't get it today.

Tell us more about your condition - I'm not going to lie: If you've had intense pain for 3 days straight, it doesn't sound like CH syndrome.

   If it is infact CH, Tylenol, Advil and the like are useless.

   Without any diagnosis or meds, you won't have a lot of options. You can try to chug a RedBull (can reduce or abort the CH for some us), although that generally only works when done at the first signs of a CH. Some of us can use an ice pack or frozen pack of veggies applied to the head, neck, face or any combination to help us "deal". For others a cold or hot shower might help. None of these will stop it.

   Your best bet for immediate relief sounds like a trip to the ER (don't expect it to be a pleasant experience). The next thing to do is get in to see your PCP (ASAP), and find a neurologist or headache specialist (again ASAP) who can properly diagnose you and start working to find a course of treatment.

   After all that, read the post "123 Days PF and I Think I Know Why" in the  "Medications, Treatments, Therapies" section. A long read, but worth the time.

CH attacks generally only last 15 minutes to, like, 3 hours (tops). Many of us get multiple attacks in one day for many days straight, but I've never heard of constant head pain turning out to be CH.

You need to see a specialist and get a proper diagnosis.

Sinus infection?

We are shooting in the dark without a history: have you been diagnosed as haveing Cluster?; what kind of a doc is seeing you?; what has he advised.

Any treatment advice you get from us, at this stage, has the potential for being misleading, even hurtful
