I'm using Sumatriptan Sucinate Injection, 6 mg/0.5 mL.

Every time I use it, I get burning like sensation in my chest and shoulders. I feel weak and sleepy.

Medicine works great for CH

Ya might want to cut the dose down to 3mg. Go to the medical info on the left and see how it's done.

We've found out (for most of us) a smaller does works just as well (and makes the imitrex go further) and it doesn't have the side effects so bad.

Have you tried O2? That's one that most of us use and it works great. REad up on it.. Might save you some pain.

Have you got oxygen to kill off CHs?

Using 25lpm and a non-rebreather mask I can kill mine off in about 5 minutes.

I put in another vote for O2! It works for me in about five minutes as well.

On the rare occasion that I do need to use my Trex, I get that same feeling you describe, only in my face and head. I also will get a little sleepy from it too.
