Title: Seed questions
Post by Louise Barham on May 12th, 2012 at 3:46pm
Okay, you would think that I am the sufferer because my brain has shut down.

I am trying to find the info on RC seeds so I can order them for Adam.

Also, there seems to be a large difference in opinion on how many to take.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Louise

25-40 seeds to start. I've taken up to 100.

Grind them up into a powder and soak the powder for an hour or two in a juice glass of water. Add a little lemon juice or mint extract to make it more palatable, stir it up good, then down the whole thing.

Have a glass of water handy to rinse and swallow, cuz it's kinda nasty.

Thanks Brew,

I knew you would have the answer for me.  I really appreciate it.

I'm doing my 50-seed maintenance this afternoon, as a matter of fact.

Glad I could help.

One other thing - if the notion of downing all that fiber (husks, etc.) is a turn-off, you can strain the whole mess through a paper coffee filter and just drink the liquid. I've had success both ways.

Thanks again brew.  I think that he is so willing to try anything, that he will down the whole lot.  At least the first time anyway.  We do have a pepper grinder and a coffee grinder.  So, with grinding, soaking and a cold mountain dew at the ready, I think he will be good.

Can't wait to let everyone know how this works out for him.

Thanks again for all your help.

Louise

Oh, one more thing.  It says the seeds are not for "human consumption".  Are these the right seeds?  I went to iamshaman.com.  I am going to PM you with my phone number.  If you wouldn't mind, could you give me a call?  I would like to place the order, but want to make sure I am getting the right thing.

Also, do they have a shelf life?

Thanks!!

That's a standard disclaimer. They're the right ones.

Keep the unused ones in the freezer. Mine have lasted 2 years that way.

I'll try to call you tomorrow.

Thanks!!  Order has been placed.  As soon as we get them, I will post an update.  Feel free to call me if you want.  At this point you have answered my question, but we can certainly chat.

Love ya lots.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread but I just have a quick question myself. I'm considering going this route with these exact seeds but I take a bunch of medications, not just for CHs, but for a bunch of different conditions. Do you need to be off all medications for x number of days if you want to take the seeds?

Plant a few along a fence or trellis, and you'll have plenty from now on!

Jim

Yeah!!  They came today!!  He will probably wait until Friday night to give them a try.

Brew, he may call you tonight with some questions and just general conversation.

Here with high hopes;

Thanks, we were planning on 40 Friday night.  Then follow up every 5 to 7 days.

Thanks so much for everyone's help, suggestions and support.  This place means the world to us.

Okay, first dose down.  Had a slight hit middle of the night, but said it wasn't too bad. Not as nasty as he expected and, so far, no side effects.  Dose again in 5 days.  I'll keep you posted.

Any longer-term results to report?

Anything? Nothing?

Don't get discouraged. He's going to have to pound this thing into submission if he's like most of the rest of us. Another mortar shell every 5 to 7 days. His head will tell him when enough is enough.

Sorry Brew,

Life has been a little crazy.  Like I said in my PM to you, they seem to be less frequent and less intense.  That's a good thing.  Also, he has had no "fiber" problems.  That too is a good thing.

We usually get 10 - 15 O2 tanks per month, sometimes more.  We have gotten 4 in the last month.  I am hopeful!!!! that this means it's working.

Thanks for everyone's help, advise and support.

Louise

Yesterday dosed with 80.  Largest number so far.  He had gone 4 straight nights PF.  YEAH!!  Anyway, after dosing, went to his aunt's and did some yard work, we all had father's day dinner and only side effect was a brief stomach ache and later last night a minimal 5 min. hit.

This is beginning to be the best thing in the last 10 years.  Looking forward to continued improvement, but still cautious.

Thanks to all,
Louise

Wonderful to hear Louise!

Personally, I only need 10-11 seeds myself, but I am on a vitamin/mineral cocktail, eat grain and sugar free and am very sensitive to meds.

Anyway, how is he doing now a few days later?

Brew, thanks for the tips. I knew nothing about the filter or the freezer.

They recommend soaking them in peppermint tea over at CB to maximize potency and I find an OJ chaser helps kill the bitter taste.
