Title: What a great website! Thank you all! Post by Bree on Mar 19th, 2012 at 5:23pm
Hi new friends! I have spent the last year with headaches and I think I'm finally coming to some closure as to a primary dx of cluster headaches and 2ndary dx of bulging cervical discs. I have had facet injections, a cervical rhizotomy, a douche bag of a PCP who I recently fired and finally found a Neurologist who immediately ran a brain MRI (results Wed.) and blood tests. My last doc put me on every anti epileptic and anti psychotic drug under the sun and just assumed I was depressed and was in pain because of it....jackass! My dad has cluster headaches, I guess they're hereditary? I have a supportive husband and kids who take really good care of themselves because most the time I can't, I'm in too much pain and when the veins start popping out of my head, I'm debilitated:( Super stoked I found this website.

Thanks Joe I appreciate all your advice! I've lost a lot of friends, my family thinks I'm some hypochondriac, it's been a tumultuous year to say the least. Feeling the love and understanding here, its all warm and fuzzy like ;D

Hi Bree
At the top of this board in the locked topics section, see (and copy) the "Letter to Colleagues and Employers" and have your "friends" read same . . . might shed some light on what you're going through. After being chronic for eleven years, I have now been pain free for 4 1/2 months using the D3 regimen that Joe referred to above (123 days PF and counting) . . . you'll find that thread on the Meds,Therapies board. Welcome Home . . . you've found the motherlode of CH info/caring/sharing. Read, read, read and ask any questions you might have. We DO understand your pain. Be Safe, PFDANs Richard |
