Hi I joined back in 2010 with chronic clusters headaches Now my neurologist wants to start me on lithium is it any good? Dont know why he wants me to start it the GONE BLOCK still works for me and I still have my oxygen and Sumatriptan.

Obviously, you should be asking your doc these questions.

Bob is correct, but to answer your question in general, lithium is a known preventative. Sometimes it is prescribed alone, and sometimes in combo with verapamil where it was called a "chronic coctail." Good? Depends on what you mean. Do talk with your doc about his reasoning here, possible alternatives and lithium side effects. Blessings. lance
