I'm on prednisone taper 80 mg first week now on day 7. I have been having shadow HA since like for the last 48 hrs. I tied maxalt last night and it went away but is back today. I guess better than the kip 8 I was having earlier. It is just annoying now. Any thoughts on how to stop it???

You need to get on a preventative when you start the taper.

Triptans can cause rebounds..try to get by without the maxhalt if you can and let the pred continue to work. Any port in a storm.

Double dittos the above: energy drink + O2, and get a good preventative. The prednisone can halt a cycle, but it is unlikely. It's primary usefulness is a bridge between the time you begin a good prevent and the time it takes the prevent to build up in your system. Glad the maxalt worked, but I'd get the aforementioned abortives. Good luck, and God bless. lance
