9 to 12mg taken before bed is commonly reported. I tried 15 mg and had some noticeable relief.

I take 15 to 18 mg at bed time to get relief. anything lower than that doesn't work for me.

I recently stopped Verapamil because of intolerable side effects. Am I kidding myself thinking Melatonin alone will prevent my headaches? I'm up to 10mg, which worked the 1st 2 nights, but got a headache last night. Thinking about trying 15mg tonight. Has anyone had success on Melatonin alone?
Thanks. |

Hey Weiner, one of the board members who doesn't post much these days went to just melatonin as his prevent. He figured out his effective nightly dosing...I think his was in the 15 mg range, then split it in half. Took half standard release melatonin, and half slow release. Said it really helped get him through the night.
