We're not going to have a tree this year, either... :( Couldn't persuade my hubby nor my mother to agree for a tree... blast. But I've got a feeling that next year will be a different story... ;) I'm already making a plan. ;) PF Christmas time to all, Sanna |

My mother's house is the place where we'll be celebrating Christmas, so that's the place to put the tree. It is not about controlling me, but about her controlling her own house. She believes that there's no room for a tree when 10 people come over... I disagree, but it's her house. And my husband is not that much of a Christmas person - what comes to decorating the house. Believe me, I've done my part placing all sorts of Christmas decorations all around our home! I do admit that our living room is a bit busy, with a tree it would not work. But one day we'll be living in a bigger place, so then... Nothing can stop me. I just need to decide: plastic or real Christmas tree...? ;) Thank you for taking care of me, but I'm fine. I just didn't think ahead with this flat; our balcony is waaay too small for a tree... Sanna :) |

I'll have to take a pic of my tree and post it. I admit, I do have a serious problem with Christmas ornaments. It took 3 days to put them all on. John tied the tree top to the window sill so it wouldn't topple over ;D |

Joe was at breakfast the other day with his buddies and mentioned we got our tree up. One of them shared that he and his wife don't bother. Joe hassled him about how good it looks, how nice it makes the house smell, etc.
So the guys sent him a picture later saying, ok I put up the stupid tree and it smells great. He hung an air freshener that is green and in the shape of a tree in his house. Pitiful! |

Sanna, I guess I understand, but really don't see the harm in even putting up a 2 foot tree. Either way, I am glad you have some decor in your home to give you some Christmas cheer. :)

You seem to have Lumi ja Nuppu all figured out! ;D (Not that we would ever believe that Lumi is the nice one, she's actually quite naughty little guinea pig, but anyway. ;)) They don't know it yet, but I bought them a special gift this year: a tunnel they CAN eat. It's made of hay and eatable herbs. :) If we'd have our own Christmas tree, I'd cut a few small branches and give them to Lumi and Nuppu. Guinea pigs love those! :) By the way, I sort of have a tree now. It belongs to our building and stands proudly outside, next to our building. That's a gift to all of us residents from our building manager. We get that every year. It doesn't have any ornaments, just the fairy lights. But looks nice during the dark hours of the day. And let's face it: this time of the year, it's most of the time! ;D And I did make a deal with my husband: when we live in that bigger place (if I know my husband, we're moving around this time next year), we will have that Christmas tree in our home. :) Sanna |

How did you know that Lumi has a mohawk every time she falls asleep inside the tiny wooden tunnel...? She has long fur, so every time she sleeps in the wooden tunnel, part of her fur remains outside of the tunnel and when she comes out, the result is a mohawk for a while. I do agree: time to write comedies! :) Sanna :) |
