so, my mother gave a girl up for adoption when she was 16. i just found her a couple days ago! :D i told my mother about her and she about had a heart attack... they reunited yesterday and are both happy as can be. been talking to her on facebook. i really cant wait to be back home so i can meet her in person...

it really is a christmas miracle. :)

Wow is right. Not all of these kinds of things have a happy ending. I am so glad yours did. May you spend many happy hours in each others company getting to really know each other.

thank you everyone for your comments. im still kinda shocked by the whole thing... it still seems like its a dream or something. i have been combing the internet for her for years. i cant tell you how many thousands of profiles i viewed before i found hers on adoption.com. whats funny is that i can handle indexing thousands of people and ranking their profiles by relevancy, but not once did i ever think about what i would actually say to her if i found her. i still got that dumb awkward feeling. ::)

im surprised i even found her at all, as the adoption agency closed down years ago and all the records were destroyed. not only that, all but one of the original workers have long since died. the one still alive is so senile he cant remember anything.
