Please Tell more on Vitamin D and other supplements!
Doc gave me results a few years back that I was low on D too. I've seen a few people mentioning about being low on D and Some where I saw Batch Posting on D and I cant find, it this Dam Topomax has me Dumbed out... I thought it might be a good topic so I posted it. So, Batch how much D was that we need plus Sun, for how long? How do we pull that sunlight off in winter? Will grow lights work? Sunlight in eyes produces D too doesn't it? I know I'm full of questions and very few answers! Sorry! I started working in a basement 7 days a week at 21 and started getting visits by 25. Maybe it was a vitamin D change for me who knows. But I'll try upping my D, worth a shot! Is D something you need to up slowly? Or can you just dive in? I found D with fish oil, guess that is a good combo. 2000iu D per pill. I have been drinking lemonade since Batch mentioned the PH sounds logical. Any thing to get the guest to go! Dam guest has stayed way past his welcome, no doubt. Oh and anyone with information please post I only mentioned Batch cause I know I read a post some where that was his. The visitor has been smelling like fish for a long time now. Peace, Boski |

I live in Iowa where we don't get outside because of cold for at least 6 months a year and, when tested, almost everyone is vit D deficient. Generally, when undergoing repletion, you just dive in with 50,000u MWF with the number of weeks of the regimen determined by how deficient you are. After repletion, to keep the levels up, generally people take 1000-2000u per day (available over the counter). For bone health, the general recommendation is to keep your vit D level over 40.
Vit D def has been linked with muscle aches and pains, fatigue, depression, just not feeling well, etc. I don't know of any studies linking it with CH, but then again, CH is such a rare condition... Worth a try to take some and keep it up - unlikely to work right away if you're using OTC doses just because you have to likely replete your system first. Likely small risk of harm - it is difficult to OD on Vit D! |

I guess I have nothing to loose! :)
Good for health anyway and a chance it could help head. Nothing ventured nothing gained is what they say right! I have no clue why they come or why they go but if there is a slim even a slim chance, I'll try it. Hell, I quit smoking cause Doc. said it may help head! Didn't but I still don't smoke! I did get fat, but now 9 years later topomax is fixing the last of that fat. hehehe. one good side for me. But better slow down or I'll be too thin. I know I' grasping at straws but got to keep trying. Living and working in NYC well not lately working. Don't really ever get any sun any time of year, so I think NYC'ers must all be low on D. I do get out just have buildings blocking every direction. Maybe that's why so may are taking antidepressants here in NYC!!! Thanks For info, I have felt some muscle aches and pains, fatigue too. Just thought it was due to not being 20 any more. ;) Guess I'm not 20 but I need some D too going to see what the D test cost as I have no insurance now, but I must be on empty! Thanks again, Boski :D |
