I just found this video browsing around on YouTube.
It's exactly how I use the "Imitrex tip" on the left column of the screen. My only difference is that I inject in my arm so I don't have to pull my pants down, LOL!
Since I use oxygen, I no longer use Imitrex, but for those that do, this video will help you save money & those nasty rebounds headaches. Remember, most only need 2mg worth of sumatriptan to abort clusters.

Just an FYI: I use the vials with a 31 gauge 8mm needle.
So, so much nicer than that auto injector nail!

Summer time, it's the leg if in shorts or the arm, calf works
too, in a pinch. I can get 3 - 4 doses from a single vial.

Also, any of you full dose auto injectors check for air. I
found air in most, that's what seemed to leave colorful
marks on me.

I was searching on CignaTel website yesterday and found Sumatriptin (sp?) in 4mg vials. Only ones Joe has ever gotten are 6mg so maybe this is a new option?

QnHeartMM, try having Joe mark the vial with those 6mg shots. There is no need for the full 6mg when most of us abort in 2mg. That last injection, you can just use the injector as the person in the video stats.

I use the 6mg sumatriptan / 0.5ml

That's the one I get 3 to 4 uses out of.
I have used them way after exp. date.

If out of work or low on money this can help.

Thanks for the tip. I have been headache free for about a year and a half (first time that has happened) and I have just started a new cycle. So of course I can't get my imitrex until I see the doctor (appointment had to be rescheduled). So now if he doesn't give me a refill to get over the the hump I can make these shots last.
