Keep it up and you'll need more O2 than you normally use. LOL

Considering SOME of the things I've tried.....not so far fetched! ;D ;D

Hold your breath long enough, and it could turn out to be the first sure-fire cure I've seen around here. ;)
Best, George |

It can't be a cure. You weren't raving about how it is a miracle that scientists have denied as part of the plot to make us all spend more on drugs, oxygen and Red Bull, but you've found the secret and you're happy to share it with us for just four easy payments of $99.99...
Or am I too cynical today? |

Well I gave the stop breathing approach a good try yesterday whilst having an ultrasound exam of my abdomen (a steroid taper was really upsetting my stomach), which involves a lot of "take a deep breath and hold............. and what seems like 3 minutes later ..... you can breath now".
I still got a hit last night though. Or did I not hold it long enough? |

Clearly....not long enough! ;D

Can I get a colour chart so that I can start again when I turn the right shade of blue?

Minutely aside, steroid tapers such as prednisone are administered commonly accompanied also by also a stomach relieving med. But even so, sensitivity can differ, I'd suspect this was suggested first. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I'd been given Omeprazole, however at first it wasn't making much difference until the dose was increased and it's now back to normal, apart from avoiding fatty foods in the evening. |

Well, concerning your finding subject, my scepticism prevails. I mean for example we have here Seaworthy -- avid fisherman and boater of Boston Harbor. He's a skilled hobby enthusiast, but also a prepared one of knowledge. Practice holding his breath may be a good requirement to accompany his enthusiastic seafaring skills, and I believe he has occasion to still go through episodes, although he may use the waist-circling rubber duckie, or some other inflatable to ride, which he may been discovered to be a consideration of more seaworthy now. This is just suspectingly.

Too kind, Joe, but I'd never consider resting upon any past mischief, that may breed a complacent attitude. Besides, musing couldn't possibly have any draw worthwhile if thinking it actually had an alternative motivation or intention beyond enjoyment. Don's a good sport, there's where credit is due. :) |

so no thoughts on the article?any opinions at all?
for istance if O2 works and needs no room air could be this the reason or not?i have seen we have approached the weather changes in other topics as if it could be a possible trigger and when i saw this it made an impression to me so that's why i put it here and not to jokes section.i can't say if it is crap or has any truth in it in our case of ch. anyway... |

Ok to be serious...with regards to the article; I'd say pollution could be a Trigger not necessarily the cause of CH. This of course would be one trigger among many triggers for us all. On the same note...If pollution is a trigger why then for some milder attacks does deep breathing (not with O2, with just plain air) help avoid it, at least this has worked for me on occasion. |
