Title: Is this normal
Post by Stssts on Jun 10th, 2010 at 11:28pm
To make long story short was diagnosed finally after months and 2 sinus surgerys about a mint ago with ch... After reading on the results people were getting from the natural remedy decided to stop taking imitrex and verapamil to try it..  I'm desperate and on verge of loosing my house because I've virtually been unable to work for almost 2 months.. I took a descent amount I thought (2 grams) but can stillfeel it trying to break through.. The mushrooms have worked and I'm actually pain free but it's like a constant attack .. On the verge of coming through.. Is this normal or did I not take enough

Stssts,

The only thing I can tell you is there is no normal. Everyone reacts a little diffrently to alternative therapy. What is too much for one person is not enough for another, what takes one time for one person for a bust to occur takes three times for another. The fact that you are pain free is a huge step in the right direction. From what I have read and experienced shadows can be very common during the bust. The best advice I can give you is keep posting here and at START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE and there will be plenty of people to help guide you through this with tons more experience than me. Good luck and I will keep an eye out for your posts.

Sorry one more thing, I have had this conversation with others about the feeling like it is trying to break through and you are under attack but it doesn't go into a full CH. We have both been experiencing that so I hope that answers that question and I put it out to anyone else reading this have they felt this during a bust?

I actually slept through the night.. First time in months.. Still having shadows though ,which has me concerned ... I have read that it can be more difficult if your already into your cycle. I'm hoping this is the case for me and plan on taking more in couple days. My only concern is one breaking through before then.

Busting will stir things up a bit, and your head can be rather unsettled and unpredictable for a few days afterward. If you were relatively pain free and clear-headed during the treatment, you probably have good things to look forward to.

If you have to go again, wait a minimum of 5 days. 7 is better.

ditto on Brew's post.  Wait 5-7 days and dose again for the knockout punch!  I'm doing this as well as soon as my kids go to bed tonight.  I got seeds soaking now in the fridge.  It will be about 14 hours of soaking when I take them.  This is dose #2 in this cycle.  The whole week was shadows that were easily aborted with O2 and Monster drinks.

I know this may be a stupid question but I've never done any thing like this before.. Why is it best to wait 5 - 7 days before going at it again??

Go to clusterbusters.com for the answer to this, and many other questions. Many people, myself included, are hesitant to discuss these things on this board.

Hey, how do you pronounce "stssts?" You might try sending some of your responders a pm. I did and found the answers quite candid, and helpful. Or kick on over to clusterbusters where a whole lot of info is available. Just a friendly suggestion if you're going to explore alternative. I was even afraid to ask my Headache Specialist about it but found some Harvard Medical School studies at clusterbusters that interested him. He teaches at HarvMed, so he didn't shut any doors, including alternative. I found that courage through pm's and responses.

Apologies in advance-I'm not trying to interfere with all ya'll who give great advice here, just sharing my experience with questions that brought on more questions concerning clusterbusting.
