Title: Don't be so bitter!
Post by Bryan S on May 28th, 2010 at 7:50pm
Why is everyone on this site so damn bitter?!?  We are all here for the same reason, why is there all this anger! Different things work for different people and all we are trying to do is tell everyone else what has worked for us because it may work for someone else as well.

Maybe that's why everyone suffers from CH's, stop being so bitter and ungrateful for the things you have in life and maybe things will turn around!!!

A lot of us get real nervous when a new person comes in, makes 2 posts, and tells us all how stupid we are. It shouldn't suprise you if many responses follow mine that are not as polite or kind. My suspicion is that is what you are hoping for.

There are many forums on the internet for people who want to pick fights and argue. We strive to make this place, as unlike those, as possible. If you want help with CH pain, this is the place. If you feel the need to stir things up, I politely ask you to consider a different forum.

I'm not trying to stir anything up!  I have been coming to this website for a few years now so I'm not technically a newbie.  Just from reading other peoples comments from previous topics it just seems like everyone is bitter.  I am not even referring to my post just what I have seen over the past few years.

And yeah I got confused with that other post so my bad!

No problem Bryan, this is very much a family here. Sometimes squabbles break out......but as a family we try to keep it all "in house" and take care of each other. The primary purpose of this board is to help people alleviate pain. If that's what you're looking for, you will not find a more comprehensive knowledge base on CH anywhere.

We suffer from the worst pain known to medical science so we may sometimes be blunt and direct to the point. But, everyone hopes to help anyone in need.

Like any other forum, CH.com is what you and everyone else contributes to it.

Since you have no control over what everyone else says and does, what will your contribution be?

Best,

George

Um...o.k. so let me get this straight.  You have 3 posts to your name and this one in particular...you start with why is everyone so bitter????

I know I am blonde, but this has me confused.  S'plain it to me Lucy.

This site sometimes has a few who come in here as newcomers and are total jerks which is to be expected in a public forum, but after spending the last 11 years here I can tell you we also have a great majority who are the most helpful, caring and loving individuals on this planet.

What exactly WAS your question again?

Either a party animal, or someone trying to start  a flame war.

In case you haven't noticed B.S....DJ has moderators around here and we are always on the look-out for anyone who tries to stir the pot with posts like yours.

Wow is right Bill. ::)

Hi Bryan,

Welcome. Most everyone here either suffers from CH or supports someone who does. For many, their nerves are on edge and they're irritable because they hurt. Everyone at least tries to be civil; because if they're not, they'll be ostracized and won't last long. If you're a jerk, you'll be treated like a jerk. Likewise if you're a gentleman, you'll be treated as such. At the same time, anyone can be excused for the occasional outburst. I'd bet that there's no one here who hasn't written a post that they're ashamed of - that they wish could be taken back before a lot of people whom they respect have read it. That said, a wise man once mentioned, off-hand probably, something to the effect that we should treat others as we would like to be treated by them.

You wonder why someone suffering from the WORST PAIN KNOWN TO MAN 3 TIMES A DAY AN HOUR EACH TIME would be bitter!   On top of that they have to deal with people like you who think it's just a headache.  No big deal makes it even worse.

It is a pain that wasn't meant to be felt by man.  The largest nerve in the body swells.  Nerves respond to pressure and swelling is the most extreme pressure you can put on a nerve.  At least when you loose a limb or get shot it is just smaller nerves with much smaller pressure on them.  And it doesnt happen 3 times a day or more.

Oh my goodness here we go again

I read hi previous post on Saturday and it sounded to me like some one has read a few key points on the board and then put them in a post . only came across this one today and it looks like my suspicions were right, after failing to get a rise out of the last post Bryan S wrote this crap. come to think of it Bryan S....B.S.? smell something?

may be if we ignored these people thay would go away ?
may be not >:(

Bryan  I hope I'm totally wrong about this and you've just got off on the wrong foot, but I doubt it.

bryan s i don't think people on this site are bitter. cynical? yes maybe but i guarantee anyone in this thread  would go long and far to help you out even when you think they wouldn't. we're good people here we're just not suckers. keep in mind many of us read and reply to posts on this board with achy heads and weathered nerves.

feel free to post whet ever you want and try not to take a cynical reply personal. ;)
