Title: I'm such an not a very nice person Post by OneEyeBlind on May 23rd, 2010 at 10:36pm
The headaches started going south in severity and freqency, so I stopped the verapamil. I am a total not a very nice person and now I can suffer. I'm so mad at myself I could spit ... but all I can do is scream in agony. FUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This shit hurts. Getting cocky don't pay.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Going off meds is one of the greatest feelings a CHer can have (since it means PF time), you can't blame yourself for doing it a bit early. |

Just finished ordering more o2. Ya gotta love that stuff ! Get the arsenal going again. Ended up doing a shot of Imitrex, some 02 and finally a relpax before getting any sleep last night (not in that order .. more like o2, shot, 02, relpax). Also immediately started back on the verapamil. Called off work for today. I'm off tomorrow as we have to go to Pittsburgh for my husband's psych & vascular clearance for transplant. Pray that I sleep well tonight, cause driving 4 hours each way, & doing a psych exam for transplant willl not be pretty if I have gotten no sleep. But hey, a girl will do what a girl can do. ::)

Maybe this time, since it's been introduced to your system and you maintained on it for a while, the side effects will not be as bad, but increase gradually. Some time may be needed to be effective again. OneEyeBlind wrote on May 23rd, 2010 at 10:36pm:
It seems to help ok on CH's for you. Quote:
I've reduced too soon many times and know the self-frustration well. ;) One reason I reduce or increase very gradually, waiting for any continuing response. Most carefully before stopping, a much lowered level maintained is preferable for another month or two before cautiously stopping altogether. Quote:
