Since Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker, curious if bone loss is common?

that was funny Brew, thanks for the laugh, but seriously curious if anybody has noted jaw bone loss and losing teeth or some other type of bone loss as side effect

Brew, thought you were expressing a male gendered sarcastic remark, so with all due respect, my apologies for misunderstanding your comment.  So you have had bone loss attributed to Verapamil, how so?

"Verapamil does not alter total serum calcium levels. However, one report has suggested that calcium levels above the normal range may alter the therapeutic effect of verapamil."

It influences the movement of chemicals in/out of certain types of cells but doesn't affect our bones.

From what I've read, Calcium Channel blockers don't block calcium from being absorbed via the gut into the bloodstream.

Mechanism of Action
Inhibit passage of calcium through the voltage gated L-type (for Large/Long-lasting current) calcium channel on vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac myocytes, reducing calcium availability for muscle contraction.

Calcium channel antagonists block the inward movement of calcium by binding to the L-type calcium channels in the heart and in smooth muscle of the peripheral vasculature. CCB’s dilate coronary arteries and peripheral arterioles, but not veins.
