Hi All, I know I've been absent for a bit, you can thank my employer, but I'm still around, and kicking but not sure for how long or how well considering my following question. 

I am wondering if anyone else here has the following conditions as well as Chronic CH : Heart Disease or heart attack history and Kidney Disease or mild kidney disease? 

If so please respond and let me know what kind of treatment medication your physician has you on to treat CH and not worsen or to aid with your other conditions.

Hang in there and wait for answers.  I am positive their are others with heart problems that can answer this question.  I know they cant do triptans like imitrex any longer but I can not remember what they do.  Sorry you are going through this.

Hi Ginger, Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but there may be some crossovers.

First off, I can still take triptans. No heart flutters, the closest to a side effect is my hair tingles.

Readers digest version...no interactions noted.

The list of malfunctions; Type 2 Diabetes, High BP, High cholesterol, Sleep Apnea & episodic CH

The Pile of pills & needles; Micardis HCT, Amlodipine - PO, Vytorin, Metformin HCL--PO, Actos, Glipizide XL, Lovaza Omega 3, Byetta, Provigil, Multi Vitamin, Glucosamine HCI, Aspirin. And of course, Imitrex Stat dose, 5 hour energy and O2.

I don't currently have a plan for a prevent. I wasn't satisfied with the answers about interactions with the diuretic part of the BP meds. Memory's broke too... I think it was something to do with the diuretic causing an increased concentration of Lithium. Steroids (Prednisone) quadruple my blood sugar. Clusterbusters have severe interaction issues with a security clearance.

The up-side; Something, BP meds, Provigil, has been acting as a preventive. Used to be on Toprol as a preventive, but it stopped working after a couple years.

Oh, quit smoking almost two years ago using Chantix. Severe reaction, swelling around my belly button.

well.. i have a heart condition.. it's called Right bundle branch block..

I'm sorry to hear about your heart condition Cassandra.  What kind of treatment medication does your physician have you on to treat your CH?
