Now don’t go trying this mix.
This morning as normal stood at the kitchen sink with tabs in hand, first of three times daily.
At the same time I normally get out the pooches tabs (He’s suffering from heart failure).
Anyway without thinking, popped the tabs in mouth, swallowed and then stood mortified at what I’d just done.
I’d just gulped down, 2 40 mg Verapamil, 1 Vetmedin 5mg and half a Frusecare 40mg
In a little panic, sheepishly woke the missus.
“Darling…Darling”
“What’s up now?”
“I’ve taken the dogs tablets”
“What”
“Good god you idiot”
Well I don’t think I’m a niddiot, nether less

“I’d better ring the hospital”

“Hello”
“I feel a bit daft telling you this”
“My husband has taken the dogs tablets”

“Was it deliberate?”
“Oh no, he was just half asleep”

After checking the toxicology register it seems someone else had managed to do the same but without the Verapamil.

“I think you should come in so we can monitor you”

Well, I knew if I went in for a little spot of monitoring, I’d be there all day, so I didn’t bother.

Today been a little different…woof, sniff sniff, but ok I suppose “woof”
Hang on a mo, sorry that cute little poodle from next door’s out, I’m ok

I’ve just got this irresistible urge to pee up the chair… gotta go.

Honestly can't say that I've done that before.......

Wear a plastic cone/collar around your neck for two days and you should be all right.

Good move not going for a monitor. A waste of time. I can't think of a med that dogs take that would give us much of a hard time. Dosages are almost always much smaller too.

Hmm, I'm assuming that you made that cute little poodles acquaintance first before you got her phone number?

I don't think that strange look from the owner had anything to do with getting that cute poodles number.

You are aware of how dogs *recognize* each other and make acquaintances aren't you?
