Title: ClusterGeeks (new picture)
Post by QnHeartMM on Sep 23rd, 2009 at 8:01pm
We've had a ClusterGeek siting here in San Diego. The scary thing is Jimi (whose Fantasy Football team is tied last) is giving Calif Dreamin team advice (currently in first ). What is wrong with this picture?

LOL - are they instant messaging each other?

Glad you got there safe and sound.  Enjoy the trip!

(Oh - I just noticed Jimi has shoes on!  That's what's wrong with that picture!)

What I see?   Ruthie is NOT on that computer.  It was put on her lap but she is not using it.   LOL

Hope you guys are having a good time like we did in Milwaukee with Brew and Pat.

Joe...you HAVE to show them what waves look like.

We had a great time with Jimi and Ruthie. It's fun to get to be tourists in your own town. Here's a picture we took before Jimi headed off to work with Joe.

great pics.  I happen to know for a fact that the only thing that will get Jimi to wear long pants is 20 degrees below....and going to work with Joe.   ;D

Hope you caught some bad guys.

If they did catch any bad guys, I know what they did next:

Beat 'em up and take 'em into custody.

It was a very quiet night. Joe couldn't figure it out. Of course it was obvious to me that the word had already leaked out that I was in town. ::)

It was a great few days. Joe and Christy are great people. I even got to meet his dad and we hit it off right of the bat.

I said it to you privately, but I want to say it publicly. Thank you guys for all that you did to make it such a fun time. Ruth and I are proud to know you. :)

I think the bears at the S.D. zoo might still stand up and wave howdy.

Great little Caltucky M&G.  Nice to see you guys!    :)

I had been at the S.D. Zoo in '81 and caught Chester.  I thought they taught the bears to wave, but apparently it was just this particular bear, who passed the summer of '85.  Sorry.

San Diego Zoo's Bear Canyon

For years, one of the Zoo's most popular animals was a big brown bear named Chester. Millions of visitors photographed Chester as he stood up and waved to the tour buses that drove by.

...as many as 100 million photographs of Chester were taken over the years, usually while he was dripping wet from a dip in his pool and standing up on his hind legs, rubbing his stomach or waving to the crowd. "He was very intelligent," said Jim Joiner, Chester's keeper.

If you grew up in San Diego, you remember Chester, the Alaskan Brown Bear who would wave at the tour busses as they passed by...

I do remember a waving bear on many of the trips there with my kids in the late 70's and early 80's. I guess it was the famous Chester  :)
