Today as I was sitting whilst my good wife clipped my toe nails I thought of you.
What a wonderful life without………….
Beer in hand, missus clipping away, dog chomping on the flying debris, (no need for the Hoover) football on the telly, “can it get any better?”
This is when we ended in a discussion (heated) on which way the loo roll should hang.
I, think it should hang with the paper falling off the front and away from the wall,
The missus reckons it’s more aesthetically pleasing if it falls from the back close to the wall.
I do remember a time in my childhood when we cut up the newspaper into squares and hung them from a piece of string in the outside lav.
I suppose were a bit cosseted nowadays.
I wonder if it was true that we had newspaper print on our bums,(newsssssflassshh)

This is kinda scary....but Colin gets my vote here :o......when the open end hangs over the front.....you don't have to do the danged "flip and spin" to find the end! ;D I'm with you Colin!

It's always been toilet paper hanging from the back. Getting a hold on it gives us something to do, I guess. Naturally, the paper towels in the kitchen run from front to back. Over here, the old Sears-Roebuck catalogs were standard features in out houses. Colorful TP was probably a prostate cure at one time.

Must be that you're too short then to clip your toenails.... :o

It is a very firm rule, written in stone.  Too many of you refuse to follow tried and true methods!

You ALWAYS take the sheets from the FRONT of the Sears and Roebuck catalog, FIRST ... and then work your way through the book ...

Oh wait ....

Let me move ahead a few years ...

Toilet paper!  That's right!  I remember when they invented that (in Vegas, I believe) ... Now let me check ... YUP!!!  It is right here in the rule book:  Paper comes off the roll, at the top, and lays down the FRONT of the roll.

See that?  It is in the rule book!
