Chronic migraines? Yes.

I don't think there is any research that indicates O2 will help migraines.

I just read in the thread below this one that somebody was getting hit on both sides at the same time.  You should let him hit your tank and see what happens...What could it hurt?

There are people who suffer from "double sided CH's", like Dragon said, let him take a try at the 02. Won't hurt him, if it aborts the attack, that's info he should give his doctor.

Is he seeing a neurologist who specializes in headaches? If it's reached the point that he's disabled he certainly needs a qualified specialist. Headaches, of any type, suck! ;)

ONCE I had a double sided CH.  It was something I'd like to never repeat.

I thank Wodan, Athene and Ra on my bare knees I was never affected both sides, it must be pure hell.
But as Icedragon indeed said, let him try to O2. If it works, great and something to work with while seeing a dr, if not, too bad, but you gained some knowledge and the oxygen has no nasty side-effects.

I sure hope your friend will get the help he needs, and please let us know okay?

Pascal.

O2 does help with pain control during my migraines as well as CH's, although I haven't managed to abort a migraine completely with O2 whereas I sometimes can abort a CH with just O2. The injections do work for both, everytime, although I can use sumatriptan tablets for the migraines (unlike with CH) and use the O2 until the pills kick in.

I seem to remember someone mentioning a new study looking at using O2 in migraine treatment - I'll see if I can find a link.

I have had a few double sided CH, they are the worst, without a doubt.
