Title: Mild cluster (well, relatively)??
Post by GrooveMeister on Apr 9th, 2009 at 6:56pm
Hi all,

It's been far too long since I spent any time reading this board. This is a wonderful place. Humanity at its best.

Anyhoo, I've been in cycle for the last 3 months or so but it's been massively different to previous clusters. I've been having less than one attack a day with nothing more than about a K7 and rarely anything to wake me up during the night. No time off work and only a couple of hits there that I had to go and stomp off for an hour or so when the O2 tank in the car had run out (no other meds required) but nothing like the 8-10 savage attacks a day and no sleep for months on end that I've had before.

Sorry if this sounds like gloating. I don't mean to, I'm just a little curious as there is another obvious difference to previous times. This being that it's on the right hand side of my face where I've always been a lefty before. Other than that, all symptoms are present and correct, only less extreme.

Just wondering if this is common. Maybe some people have a 'good' side and a horrific side or something.

All my love.

Stevie

You lucky devil [smiley=sgrin.gif]

I think I might change to the right side on my next cycle to...

I'll have to change my profile to Righty all the same...

To be honest I think a Hit is Hit no matter what side...!

Lefty...!

No apologies necassary! Glad he's not beating the snot outta you this round!  ;)Mine have never traded sides but over 31 years my cycles have varied greatly in duration and intensity. A "good side bad side" comparison would be interesting. Any other "side switchers" to chime in?

I've had mine switch sides only once, and that cycle was also a mild one.  Of course, I've had mild and bad cycles in the past, and aside from that one, they were all on the same side.

I'm thinking you are just having a mild cycle.

Certainly feels that way (unlike Liverpool on Tuesday ho ho!)

Thanks all, to be honest I was a little worried that this might be the sign of worse to come but if mild bouts happen then that's OK by me. Feels like a walk in the park in comparison.

Still, wish I could go boozing with my buddies on this here bank holiday.

Some cycles are definitely less bad than others.  I have had cycles that only lasted two weeks, with 1 headache each night and nothing went above 7.  I have also had cycles that lasted 6+ weeks, 5 headaches per day that started at night and went through the morning, with lots of action on high end of the Kip scale.
