whent to my Dr today, she gave me last week 2x tabletts sumatriptan beta 50mg, needles to say it didnt take long before they where gone and no idea if they worked or not as the time it took for the things to work the attack was over ::). whent back today after a hard weekend and asked for help, the receptionist offered me a whole packet of sumatriptan wich i declined as i wasnt sure if they worked fast enough i was then told to wait. 30 minutes later still no Dr but the receptionist with a large packet with maxalt lingua 10mg disoluble then i left and came home opened the packet and low and behold 2 tabletts. my next appointment is in june so im only allowed 2 attacks untill then :-/
making an appointment with a Dr tomorow who specialises in CH and finally get this sorted out.

You and I are the only ones who are normal ;)

The best way to go is with a Dr who knows how to treat CH. Short of that, it's ok to work with a Dr who is willing to listen and learn.

This time, make sure you bring along the info previously provided. It'll put you on the same treatment page.

Don't get discouraged. It can take a while to find the right Dr.

Yeah, if you can find a doctor who is knowledgeable about CH, life is great. Otherwise the next best thing is an open minded doctor who'll look at the info you bring them with an open mind! Please take the time to educate yourself here. If you get a knowledgeable doctor, he'll be impressed at the fact you understand his treatment suggestions, if he doesn't know the current treatment options you'll be armed and ready to educate him!

My doctor is good, but his staff includes some dunces. One called me a few months back with cholesterol test results and to say that the doctor wanted me to take one tablet of time release niacin per day for HDL. I asked her what dosage. She told me it didn't come in dosages, just take one tablet (?!) My wife's messages to the doc also get garbled when they go through the staff.
