Title: clusters and vertigo
Post by coleman on Feb 16th, 2009 at 8:12pm
My wife is having vertigo with her headaches.  Is the normal in any way or should I call a doctor.  She looks like a tree waving in the wind when she moves her head or her body.

Looking for answers, please help!!

Hi Cole,  With the headaches and her having the cold/croop that would probably do it,  I had the flu recently and had extreme vertigo,  try to get her to sit down so she doesn't fall.  Keep an eye on her if it gets worse then a doctor maybe in order.

This cycle I am experiencing vertigo with my shadows during the day on and off depending on what I'm doing.  Being outside in the cold air helps as well as focusing on a task.

It sucks.

Had a bit of vertigo myself- turned out to be an inner ear infection and CH hits made it much more pronounced. I looked like a drunken sailor when I went into the doctor for it.  :-?
Yep, I think your wife should see a doctor.  IMHO (which in my universe is correct)
Hope she's better soon.

I've been suffering on and off - currently on quite a bit - with what my neuro calls Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. He hasn't indicated that it necessarily has anything to do with my CHs, but you never know I suppose. Anyway, with luck this is all that's troubling your wife. It's annoying but not especially serious, and there are exercises she can do to ameliorate it. If her doctor can't help just try googling the name - I found some of the exercises online.

Please keep us posted.

I've had this but not during CHs. Worst part is when you turn over in bed and fall off a cliff. Mine went of it's own accord.

I hope you get past Chs and the vertigo soon.

Best wishes,

Ellick

my husband also gets vertigo when he gets better than the highest kip rating. When the pain goes down he seems alright alto I have noticed that his memory is getting worse. :(

If she does not normally get virtigo with her ch she should see her neurologist/dr.  My ch started out this way with 4 months of solid vertigo.  My dr ordered an MRI to rule out any brain abnormalities.  Any change in a ha is a concern and should be addressed.

I have had major vertigo in this cycle. dizzy, ears popping..ughh. I'm going to ask a doctor if he has something for it Monday. It is NOT uncommon to have vertigo with CH's.

Yes for me I have vertigo when in cycle. That is why I seat on the floor and rock. I am afraid I will fall. I am very unsteady.
