Title: somethings working...
Post by Tim on Feb 12th, 2009 at 9:33am
Hi,

I've been in the middle of an unusual (for me) episode, and I just slept straight through two nights in a row (!!!!!!!!) I'm not sure why, but thought I would list the circumstances in case it anyone is intrested.

Since last episode about a year ago I've been diagnosed with adult ADD (no H) and started trying 450 MG of bupropion (wellbutrin) daily for that. My neurologist had me try indomethacin for the first time this go around. Those are the only new things...

This episode was inconsistent from the start, usually I get one big one the middle of every night, you can set your watch by them. They've still been at night (except for one big one that hit at 8am) but less regular, and only 2 have really been completely full strength (one went for 4 hours though, I think that's a record for me).. they've kind of trailed off, now nothing for two nights.

It's only been 2 1/2 weeks, half the length of a usual episode, if it's really over..not ready for a beer test yet...

Anyway that's my story, not sure what worked, but boy do I feel good today!

I'm using too many words, I feel pretty manic this morning, not used to sleeping..

I'm adult ADD as well, and I have found that my meds are the only thing that helps at all (vyvanse and adderall.)

I've recently read that, at least for migraines, there may be a correlation with them and the stimulation factors of the ADD brain.  This is nowhere near a theory, of course, but I've noticed some vague connections- ADD and migraine (and some documents mention possibly CH) and other disorders being member of the Affective Spectrum Disorder group;  I find it interesting that my treatment for one of those is helping with others.  Just an observation.
