Title: Type of O2 regulator for an H cylinder...advise?
Post by kiritz on Feb 4th, 2009 at 6:17pm
Hi Everyone,

Well, O2 works for me!  Now I want to get a demand valve.  But I also need a regulator that has a DISS connector.  Lifegas sells one for a lot of money $265.  This would be an additional cost to the $330 they charge for a demand valve.  I see regulators on the internet for $60 or so.  My question is, for an H tank, will any old CGA 540 regulator do?  I just don't see anywhere where they specify the exact designation of the type of regulator that works on an H tank.  I do see lots of inexpensive regulators that have DISS connections that will work with a lifegas demand valve.  So I could reduce my costs considerably if I knew if any of these would fit on my big tank.  Help from all you O2 addicts would be appreciated!

An h-tank is CGA-540 just like an m-tank (which I use).

Buyer beware on purchases over the internet.  You might want to post a link to possible selections here.  If anyone has a bad experience with specific regulators I'm sure they'll chime in.
