Title: How often should you replace your Mask/tubing/etc
Post by DennisM1045 on Nov 8th, 2008 at 3:47pm
I've had my clustermasx for about a year now.  I replaced the bag with a 3 liter job about six months ago.  I maintain them regularly and check that the valves work properly.

Is there a reason for replacing it every six months, 1 year, ...?

NOPE!!!  As long as you keep it clean (wipe those boogers outta there) and the valves work fine, keep using it!  I used to wipe mine down with a disinfectant wipe, after using it.  I now do that with my Demand Valve Mask.

It is not a bad idea to have one in reserve, though.  You might do something stupid (like I did) and step on the mask, or have your dog chew it up (did both).  It is always smart to have a backup.

I have had my Clustermasx for about 1-1/2 years now and it is still in top shape, but I think I will try a bigger bag on it. Being on Verap I had better write that down on my "To Do List ;D)

I think as long as it seals your face and the valves are clear and working it should last a long time, but also depends on how much it is used also.

Next. :)
