It is our great pleasure to present the following candidates to the OUCH membership for the Board of Directors elections:

Elizabeth Goodman - Paul Logue - Patrick Sanford - Linda Howell  

Scott Hauser - Jim Welch - Kathy Copelin - Gena Levenhagen  

The next step in the election process is the Member Question & Answer session which is currently underway on the OUCH Business Board and will run until midnight CDT on June 15th.  To access the Q & A, you will need to be registered on and log in to the Business Board.  The boards will be heavily moderated and any posts that could be deemed as inappropriate will be removed immediately upon discovery.  

On June 16, 2008, the actual elections will begin and run until June 26, 2008.  The elections will be held on the OUCH Business Board.  Since there were ten available seats and only eight applicants, the candidates are not running against each other.  The vote will be for the membership to approve or disapprove the candidates serving on the Board of Directors.

The newly elected Directors will officially take office at the conclusion of the OUCH Convention.

We thank everyone who stepped up to the challenge of taking OUCH into the future.

    I voted.  

I would like to thank Mike(Gator)  This guy spends countless hours on the computer tending to the OUCH web-site and doing all it takes to add a voting area as well as adding whatever it must do  to tally votes, and things I can't even understand.  He does this with such knowledge it boggles my mind.

O.K. I know.  That doesn't take much to do.  Saved you the trouble of saying this Chuck.

If you are a member...go vote.  That is an order.

As of the last time I checked only 24 people have voted.    OUCH has a much bigger membership than this.

  it really is quite painless.  Vote yes or no...that's it.  

   

And two days later, 26 people have voted, well, 25.375 people anyways.  Apparently, someone or several someones did not vote the full ballot for whatever reason.

Please cast your votes, folks, and please vote either yes or no for each of the candidates.

I voted. I'm proud of our Organisation and I don't want to see it suffer death by apathy.

Just because there are more seats vacant than people standing does not mean you shouldn't have your say. It's your right to make your feelings known and it's OUR right as BoD and future BoD to know you're behind us.

It makes a big difference to know that, it's our incentive to do our best for all of us.

I need you guys, I can't do anything for you without you and nor can any of the current candidates. This is OUR OUCH - stand up and be counted!   :)

The poll will close tomorrow the 26th at 12:00 midnight (24:00 hours) CDT.


Edited to add: For anyone who is still not clear, the day ends at midnight (24:00 hours).  The new day starts at one second past midnight (00:00:01).  You will have all day today and all day tomorrow, the 26th, to cast your votes.

T minus nine hours and counting.  

As it stands, 33 people will decide who will lead an organization of over 3400 members.
