The roads seem to be sanded, and salted very well. Last night comming home from the RED Robin resteraunt (here in Madison brand new on the east side of town!) the roads were very slippery. Glad I only had a few blocks to go. Today at 11:00 I am suppose to take my dog out for a bath and trim. I will let you know how the roads are then. Last night my husband said the beltline and 51 were bad so he too the interstate and that was in good condinitons. Becareful My dear WIS brothers and Sisters traveling under this winter storm warning. Even after the clean up is bad usually also. |

They are all just as wonderful as the fist time I met them. I met a couple of newbies. Ruthie (LadyLov) was there and what a fun loving lady she is. I knew she was a cool lady when I saw she smoked the same brand as me. Then I found out she also has my Moms name, she and I have so much in common . Five minutes with her and I felt I had always know her. She gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Boy does she like Margaritas! Pupleydog she worked on keeping pictures posted. Meeting her was a pleasure she has a great sense of humor and being around her made you smile and feel good. I felt I knew her always. K-9 and his Lady Jeanette They walked in and I pointed to them and said there is two good people, Jean said how do you know I said they have Dogs. Those two are full of fun and just down to earth people. You just could not ask for better people to enjoy an evening with. The hard part as always is leaving. That’s when you hold back tears or just let them flow. The thing that disappointed me most was Cat had left before I got there and I really wanted to see her. I think we counted 24 people there. We missed a few that came last year and was not able to come this year. This meet and Greet helped kick the New Year off for us. As Blake said we all hurt and the Cluster Family is everything to us. I would like to Thank Woobie and all who put it together and made it so much fun. Jackie you beautiful Lady Your beautiful on the inside and Gorgeous on the outside, thank you for the food you had for us all Saturday night. It hit the spot. Blake thank you for taking us back to what it is all about. Jean thank you for all your support to everyone there. To the rest of you that went , Thank you all for being there and thanks for making another special week-end for my cluster memory book. You know every meet and Greet and every convention is the best but each hold different memories and it makes them all special. I did real good about not letting tears fall when we parted. I am doing really lousy right now. Tears are falling because I miss you guys. God Bless you all and I hope you each made your trip home safe. The hardest part is always the leaving. :'( T'was great to meet PD, LadyLuv, K-9 and Jeanette. Thanks PD for all the work you did posting the pics. LadyLuv.....wow what an inspiration she is! She fit right in. This was her 1st time to meet another clusterhead, and needless to say, there were many tears of joy shed by this great lady. Thirty years of suffering....and so many of those she felt that she was all alone. Sound familiar??? She told a neat story...bout how she has friends who live relatively close to Davenport, and she had told them that she probably wouldn't stay at the get together and would make the short trip on to see them. Well, she got hooked! She found a family! No way was she gonna leave. For those who didn't get to meet her and hear her story, you really missed out. Ruthie is a neat lady...she is a cancer survivor, a long time clusterhead, and a great addition to this extended family. Blake has declared DavCon an annual event. Tina did some checking with the hotel, and they said we are welcome anytime! Therefore.......it's official... there will be a DavCon every year. Hope some of you who haven't been able to make it, will try and do so in 2006. The Steeplegate Inn is a meet & greet paradise! Our own booze, our own food.....whatever we want, we can have! But in Nashville there were so many people, it was pretty overwhelming and I didn't get to chat with some people as much as I would have liked to. At DavCon the crowd was smaller but it was more intimate. It felt like a family reunion of sorts. What Blake said Saturday before dinner spoke for so many of us. I think last year was miserable for alot of people and it is a new year for a fresh start. The kind of bond we share make us a family. You guys and gals are my brothers and sisters. I also think that most clusterheads are some of the most wonderful people in the world. I can't remember when I have had a better time, or laughed so hard like I did Saturday night. I miss you guys already and can't wait for DavCon 2006. Oh, and I am gonna take the group photo, have my brother blow it up a bit, and hang it with the other family photos. Despite getting hit with a few CH's, I had a blast! Oh, and I won a hockey puck that was the smiley face, the o2 mask and syringe in eye. It is too cool. And I also got to do my Bobcat Goldthwait impression for everybody at like 3am early sunday morning. I think it may have scared a few patrons of the hotel, LOL. ;;D Alas, it is already over though you all will be in my heart forever. I love you guyses, CD |

The restaurant staff - outstanding.. the bartenders -- outstanding AND HOT...... so we got EYE CANDY also....(always a bonus) AND - they said we could come back. Not ONLY that we could come back - but they'd be HAPPY to have us. SUCKERS. [smiley=laugh.gif] They went out of their way to make sure they had a shuttle for everyone who needed it.... which I appreciated because I cant be in two places at once. ... and we all got to relax a little more this time. They got Elaine to the airport at 330 am - which was nice, cuz i was too drunk to take her - and i think everyone was. Not to mention the General Manager went to go pick Lizzie up from the car fixin place... that was nice. ok - i'm done.......... anyhow - Miss you guyz!!!!! tina |

The hotel had to call me a cab. The hotel paid the cab fee. I did not get to the airport till 4:45 AM I made my plane ! I really like that motel . I miss everyone! I came home and its colder here than it was there. I had a great time and miss everyone. Now its back to life. Got to go get some groceries and get started cleaning. Then tomorrow back to my moms. The last beer here in my fridge was flat :-/ I gotta say that despite all the evil doing pictures (that I'm told were taken) it was more fun that I hoped. It's more than just the side-effects of CH and all the creative meds that make clusterheads so much fun. I have to come to Dallas for more..... 8) Everybody was kind to elders.....for the most part, I think. I still have some photos to see though..... ::) Lots of alcohol testing....by the way; I've never seen anyone keep Jim Beam in a cooler. Damn silly kids. ::) 8) The staff atthe Steeplegate is great. Letting me splash around beer at the table, letting K-9 and Jeanette bring in their great pooches as well as themselves...great meeting them too, and keeping some lights on for us at 3:00 am. I hated to get back on the planes afterward but even with considerable coaching from Cuddles and some others who were sympathic to me, I got aboard with all the Steelers fans.....alas..... Thanks for the coaxing kids. I owe you for that in more ways than one.....even if I had to learn to play "Ashole" from Thomas. ::) Not quick on the draw after 600 beers, Charlie |

And your questions Jackie presents the perfect opportunity for me to not only answer your question, but also to tell each of you how special you are to me. I did not receive anything from the Steeple Gate; but I can honestly say that I couldn't have met you all in a better enviroment.. Everyone from the front desk, house keeper, food servers and bar attendee (with the exception of one rear end of a horse - I'm told - in the bar) provided us with top notch service and I felt very welcome. Steeple Gate is a place I would consider staying even if we weren't having a gathering. Now with that said... I want to say THANK U, 1 N all... I felt as if I had known each of you for years from the very first moment I met you. I was not made to feel like the new kid on the block, but like someone that have lived in the neighborhood from the beginning. Jackie and TexasBassLady, thanks for listen, allowing me to shed tears and pour out my feelings without judging me. They made a song for you two, "VERY SPECIAL LADIES". (ps... I got your message Jackie) For so long I have hurt; because I really felt noone really understood what I'm going through. For so long I have felt that I was alone, because I never met anyone that have felt the pain that I feel. But I knew that I had found an extended family from the moment I walked in and was greeted by Thomas (Mr. Guest) with a big hug...
