Title: Re: posts posts appearing twice twice Post by bdenkew on Mar 2nd, 2002, 11:27pm I got an error saying the server wasn't available when I last tried to post. On the third try it worked, but then the board had three copies of my post (I removed the two extras) - not a big deal, at least I can remove the extras. bdenkew |

Title: appearing three times now Post by ave on Mar 3rd, 2002, 10:28am DJ, ever so often after trying to post, I get "page not available". When I go back, a little line tells me I did not fill out the subject line (though I did). I did this with a reply to the sonya post ("How many doctors do I have to go through") just now. The third try, I asked for a preview and that seemd to work. But now there are three identical postst there... Sorry for bothering you |

Title: Re: posts posts appearing twice twice Post by DJ on Mar 3rd, 2002, 2:18pm anytime anyone gets a "page not available" message, check the board to see if your post made it before trying to post it again. Every time I've gotten the same message, my post has gone through and I haven't needed to re-post it. Don't know why the "page not available" shows up, but it seems to get through even though you get the error. ??? |

Title: Re: posts posts appearing twice twice Post by Margi on Mar 3rd, 2002, 10:25pm Yep, it's happened to me too. I get the page not available error - or that Error 502 (makes me feel so special) - and, if I hit the back button and re-post, it's there twice. BUT, if when I get the page not available deal, and I close the box, when I open the website again, my post is there, only once. Doesn't happen every time, but that seems to be the fix for the error - just close the website, then re-open and it's there once. Sure is nice to have a 'remove' option now, though! |

Title: Same on my board, DJ Post by Riccardo on Mar 5th, 2002, 3:15am but I resolved it extending the minimum time between same IP posts (in the options) Defining the time of 15 secs (instead 5) has been a solution. (I don't think a person can post TWO different posts in less than 15 seconds....!) Try it Oh, and my provider says that the htaccess files can create some disfunctions. I deleted them (no changes on the board functionality) |
