I am so excited that I just had to share with everyone. Lately I've been posting a lot, and one of my biggest problems is that my husband wasn't getting the medication he needed. His doctor had perscribed him up to two shots of Imitrex a day (no more or he could get rebounds from what he was told) and his insurance company refused his perscription and said they would only give him two boxes a month@ :o I was pissed (to say the very least). I made it my personal mission to be on these people constantly about approving his medication. I called (I took notes, names and times down during every conversation because every time I'd call again they would claim never to have heard of me! I was going to show them!! ;)

Finally after one month to the day they approved more of his medications! It's still not as much as we hoped for but it's definitely better than two! Now if I can just get my hands on some syringes so we can split up the doses. This is something we haven't tried before because we can't get our hands on syringes. He's asked his Neuro once but he was kind of blown off. We took your guys advice about asking the people at our pharmacy (that didn't work) and looking for a feed store in our area that might carry them. But that didn't work either because we live in the city. The closest thing we found to a "feed" store was Petco. LOL But anyways, I guess we'll just keep looking for a way to divide the doses...by the way does anyone know of a way to divide the doses using the pin (Stat Dose) kit?? Is there a way to modify the injector??

If ya need any suggestions on tips or tricks of the trade let me know.

One can be a veteran yet still a newbie when it comes to treating these bad boys ( no offense to the female demons) and can always learn something new.
