Margi as Board Monitor again, it has astounded me but not surprised me that you have basically accused Nancy of not having Clusterheadaches....what can I say but WOW....maybe you don't even have a husband that suffers...we only have your word on that...am I okay, NO im fucken not, im so sick of this lets suck up to each other but lets have our little clicks...you know the IN jokes roflmao NOT, no im not okay and for the record neither is Nancy.....compassion, caring go look up those two words Margi. I'd like to welcome you back but that'd be hypocritical of me oh and if you need proof of my husbands CH then i'll send you copies of the prescriptions and photos of the O2 tanks along with our neurologists name and the cardiologists name and hospital for his heart condition!!!!! Where do I start....probably, the best place would be to explain that I had no idea that Nancy was facing strife and worry in other areas of her life. I read about Chris late last night, long after I posted to her, and it truly was the first I'd heard of it. I AM very sorry that she and her family are facing this terror. I saw her mention the name 'Chris' in one of her posts and it made no sense to me at all at the time. Now it does. I do wish her and her family all the best and pray that Chris will be ok. Cathy, you KNOW I have compassion about this subject. YOU were a very big support to me, when my family was going through this. You KNOW that I understand the fear surrounding this. I honestly had no idea Nancy's family was going this and I will offer up a prayer for them. However, the fact remains that a supporter was criticized here and the hurtful words kept coming, long after the issue should have been resolved. As I just explained to Wendy, I took pre-emptive action in that situation. Action that I felt (and still feel) justified in doing. The words 'posting during an attack' are a big red flag to a lot of people here, Cathy. They have often been a signal of someone being misdiagnosed with cluster headaches. Could YOUR husband post (or even sit still at a computer screen long enough) during an attack? Mine could not. I'm just a lowly migrainer and I couldn't even stand doing that, when I was getting hit. The reason a lot of us jump on the fact that there may have been a misdiagnosis is that the meds given to clusterheads could make non-clusterheads very ill. It could be a lethal situation in fact. Should we NOT be watchdogs in this regard? We DO know the symptoms and the ins and outs of clusters. There ARE doctors out there who have not become fully educated about our affliction. There HAVE been misdiagnoses and this board actually HAS pointed some people towards second opinions and, as a result, underlying diseases were then correctly diagnosed and treated. No, I won't stop being a watch dog in this regard and I doubt few others will either. Finally, I agree that everyone goes through bad times in their lives. To me, though, lashing out at others because of personal bad times is inexcusable. p.s. I just saw that today is your birthday, Cathy - and I honestly do wish you the best. I'm very sorry to hear that you are going through rough times and I do want you to know that I am always here if you want to talk. |

She did post that she had 'a headache' when she was responding. Obviously, because of our focus here and our main topic of conversation, I wrongly assumed she was talking cluster headache. She wasn't, she was talking about an absessed tooth headache. Again, Nancy - my apologies, but I'm sure you can understand why I assumed what I did and that you agree with me that "posting during a cluster headache" is something that is impossible for most. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Nancy - I always worry when I think we have a wrongly diagnosed clusterhead. |

I'm sure that wasn't true but that's what was said..LOL We fought like hell....I mean real fighting...the "knock down, drag out" kind. One day my Daddy drug us out in the back yard and scratched out a big circle in the grass. He pushed us both in the circle and said, "Now, you two want to fight...have at it." Wow....we loved it. What great sport!!! We could just fight and fight and not get in trouble. After a little while it wasn't so much fun. The sport was wearing off. We'd beat each other half bloody. Finally...Daddy said we could come out of the circle if we were ready to hug. Hugs feel really good after a fight....... :-* Jacks 8) |
