She loves me

Honey, are you ok?
she whispers in the dark.
I cant see her face but I know the look.
Her bottom lip must be shaking, her stark
eyed terror evident by the tremble in her voice.

She is so delicate,
like a barbie doll made of glass
I see through her in the same way
that she sees my clumsily created farce,
that assures her I'm fine as I get up for my dance.

Sometimes, I wish
that I really was alright,
so that she could sleep sound,
careless sleep right through the night,
and not agonise and worry about the one that she loves.

that really captures it, doesn't it? I wish you clusterheads wouldn't feel guilty about waking us up though.....we really don't mind. WE feel guilty if we DO sleep through it!!
