Title: 30 years and still fighting... Post by CLSTRHTR on Nov 5th, 2003, 8:49am I am 45 years old and have dealt with Clusters for 30 years. The weather just turned cold again and the annual fear that comes along with it has also brought on another group of clusters. 2-3 attacks a day, no sleep, Imitrex side affects, and the fight for the insurance company to give me enough pills to last through the duration of the hell. Will it be longer than the last time? I have had the Ergomar, the oxygen "G" tank in the room, the Prednisone, the lidocaine drops, the Imitrex injections and now the Imitrex pills(100 MG). I recently was given a one time dose of Imitrex Nasal spray but I am afraid to administer because ANY change during this period can trigger another one. Is there no relief for us cluster sufferers or any new technology to protect us?? Anything short of pulling the .357 out of the closet? |
