So I just a call from my Dr's assistant who has been trying to help me get my oxygen situation figured out.

She told Aetna that I needed an H tank, and they said that cluster headaches don't qualify for an H tank!! WTF????? And that I can only get an E tank. Well, if I'm chronic how long is an E tank going to last me?? A couple of days? Why do they care how big the tank is that I get???

I'M SO PISSED RIGHT NOW!!! I never ran into these problems years ago when I was getting oxygen.

AARRRGGHHH!!!!!

I'm sorry sweetie. Go beat the crap out of a pillow. That always helps me or I go shooting and pretend the target is the person who I want to kill. (Got me my CCW permit ;D)

Last cluster I got 5 E tanks and was turning in 4 empties for replacement each week.

Same here. Apria Healthcare gave me two, picked up one brought two more, picked up two, brought four more, etc... At the end of my cycle I had eight E tanks. ;D

I'm for getting a gun permit..... Go out and shoot something.. Get some extra tanks.... That's what I did... Still haven't found the damn bullets for my gun --- but am still looking....

My advice is to take what they will give you now, at least you can kill a few HA's while you fight for what you need.

The size of the tank don't matter at all. They give you plenty of spares. At least my provider does... even though they are a total scam. The provider I use 'rents' you the oxygen concentrator machine for something like $300/month. My ins. picks that up. As a 'perk' they supply me with O2 tanks at no cost. I can use as many as I want. When I told them I didn't want the machine, they said that's the only way they do business. No wonder our premiums are so high. They are making thousands of dollars on a machine that costs about $800.

In the end, I end up paying about $8 a month, but my insurance is billed for over $300 a month. What a ripoff.
