Title: Returning to the fold
Post by Nikki on Sep 26th, 2003, 11:48pm
I used to post here years ago and unfortunately am back.  Time to get updated and look for familiar faces!  I see some names already!

Cluster is just starting up but this time I'm a Stay at Home mom to my 7 month old daughter.  Started Verapamil and am hoping it will help keep things down to shadows at least.  I had hoped I would be one of those lucky ones that pg ends headaches for but guess not.  It hasn't gotten too bad so far but I knew exactly where to come for the lastest info.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!  Last time I was really posting here was in 1999 before I moved to MN from IL.

WElcome home and so sorry you're getting hit again.

Give the baby a hug from all of us.

REad up on new stuff.  O2 is still working for most. Imitrex is still the drug of choice for most. My headband and refrigerator magnets might amuse the baby (doesn't work, but it might amuse the baby).

Anyhow read up on what's new and we hope this bout doesn't last long.

Hugs  BD

Welcome back Nikki!

Hopefully you find an effective way to handle your attacks quickly.  This time, once you get PF, stick around!   ;D  We have much to do.  Nice meeting you.

Chris

WELCOME, and I agree with Chris on this.  The board only works if we ALL keep rowing! ;)

Welcome back to the madhouse Nikki.

There is a lot of new stuff here and I hope you don't get hit and that you'll stick around.

Here are two helpful links:
The first is to a description of this disorder that does a wonderful job explaining to families, friends and employers what cluster headaches are and that they have little to do with what is thought of as a “headache.” The second is to a technique learned from a neurologist that works well for me and others.
