Title: am Meeting Post by stevegeebe on Sep 22nd, 2003, 7:33pm Had a 9:30 meeting at a job site. Arrived at 9:00. Fell asleep in the truck. Beast alarm went off at exactly 9:30. Nosed the trex and met with other attendees. The eye is on fire. Lab tech says "he gets them too", after I answer his question. Right. As the meeting progressed, along with the pain, he goes on and on about the test until the sound is gone and all I can see is his flapping lips until I hear him say, "my cluster headaches are noting like that." Yea pal, that's because you don't have cluster headaches. I got up from the table and began the dance. I hate in public assaults. Steve G |

Title: Re: am Meeting Post by Linda_Howell on Sep 23rd, 2003, 2:50am PUBLIC assaults are worse than anything I can imagine in my pee brain. Hon, you need and advocate for you in what ever you do at work. Ya know...someone you can trust to cover for you. I hate that expression. It implies you're doing something wrong, but you know what I'm talking about. Look around at work for someone to, at the very least....make excuses for ya. LindaH |

Title: Re: am Meeting Post by stuey on Sep 23rd, 2003, 4:08pm I am so sorry this happened to you and all of you. I have been so thankful that when they happened at work I was always able to go into a dark office close the door and dance in the dark. My co-workers knew they were not to disturb me until the attack was ended. |

Title: Re: am Meeting Post by BarbaraD on Sep 23rd, 2003, 4:24pm I'm with you. I went to the drug store to pick up a script today and the lady asked me what was wrong. (I had on sunglasses but my eye was tearing from underneath them). I said "I have clusteheadaches and I'm getting hit right now." Then she says, "Oh I had those years ago when I lived in Oregon. They were caused from tension. Your neck gets all tense and......" I went OFF on her BIG TIME!!! She was new at my pharmacy and I don't think she'll do that again if she's there tomorrow. The pharmacist was not there at the time, but I imagine when he got back and she finished crying and told him what all I said, he probably went off on her again. He's delivered meds to me when I could barely crawl to the door so he KNOWS what clusters are - this witch didn't have a damn clue. Sorry, but I hate well meaners when they get sympathtic and don't have a damn clue what they're talking about. Why do people think they have to have had one of those one time and have the universal answer to the problem? Ok I feel better. I"ve blown up at probably a very nice lady today and now I've vented. Now if this demon would go away, I might just feel human again. Hugs BD |
